Clerra for Gmail add-on
The Clerra for Gmail add-on shows the Clerra client behind the email you have open — their upcoming CRA and provincial filings, open work, and one-click actions — without leaving your inbox. A few common questions:
- Getting started. Install the add-on, open any message, and click the Clerra icon in the Gmail sidebar. The first time, you’ll be asked to link your Google account to your Clerra profile. After that, the client card appears automatically whenever you open an email from a matched client.
- No card / “not linked”. Make sure you’re signed in to the same Google account you linked, and that your firm has a Clerra account. If the card still doesn’t load, close and reopen the message, or re-open the add-on.
- “No client on file”. The sender’s email address isn’t yet on a client record in Clerra. Add or update the client in the Clerra web app and the card will match next time.
- What Clerra can see. The add-on reads only the single email you currently have open — never your wider mailbox — and never stores message bodies. See our Privacy Policy for details, including how AI features handle message content.
- Removing the add-on. You can remove the add-on from Gmail at any time, and revoke Clerra’s access to your Google account at your Google Account’s connections page.
Account & billing
You can manage your subscription, payment method, and invoices in Settings → Billing inside the Clerra app. For plan changes, billing questions, or to cancel, email support@commongoodlabs.ca. To delete your account and data, see our account deletion page.
Data, privacy & security
Clerra keeps Canadian firms’ data in Canada. For how we handle your information, read our Privacy Policy; for our security practices, see our Security page; and for the terms governing use of the Service, our Terms of Use.
