Delete your account
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Clerra’s client portal gives the clients of an accounting or bookkeeping firm a secure place to share documents and messages with that firm. This page explains how to delete your portal account and what happens to your data.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open the Clerra app (or your firm’s portal in a browser) and sign in.
- Open Security from the portal menu.
- Under Delete your account, tap Delete my account and confirm.
Your account is deleted right away and you’re signed out.
Can't sign in? Request it by email
If you can’t access the app, email privacy@commongoodlabs.ca from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you. We may verify your identity first to protect your data.
What gets deleted
- Your portal login and any saved sign-in methods — the email address and phone number tied to your login.
- Your two-factor authentication and text-reminder settings.
What your accounting firm keeps
Documents and information you shared with your firm remain part of the firm’s own records. Your firm — not Clerra — controls that data, and professional and tax rules generally require it to keep client records for several years. To have your firm delete those records, contact the firm directly; they can remove or export them.
