Run your whole practice from one calm system.
Deadlines tracked for you. Work that moves itself. A portal your clients love. Clerra replaces the spreadsheets, reminders, and chasing that eat your week — built for Canadian accounting and bookkeeping firms.
Tax season shouldn't run on memory and spreadsheets.
Most Canadian firms hold it all together by hand. It works — until it doesn't.
Deadlines everywhere
CRA and provincial due dates live in calendars, spreadsheets, and memory. One slip is a penalty — and an awkward call with the client.
Chasing documents
Half of every tax season is spent asking clients for the same records through a long email thread nobody enjoys.
Punished for growing
Per-seat tools charge you more every time you hire. Grow the firm, watch the bill climb — regardless of the value.
Flying blind
No single place shows what's overdue, what's waiting on review, who's underwater, or how the firm is really doing.
Clerra replaces all of it with one calm, dependable system.
One platform for the whole practice.

Missed a filing? The penalty — and the trust — is yours.
Every CRA & provincial deadline, computed automatically
Enter a client's entity type, year end, GST/HST frequency and payroll setup. Clerra builds their entire filing calendar and keeps it current — so nothing is ever tracked in someone's head or a spreadsheet again.

The daily frustrations — and how Clerra answers them.
“We're always scrambling right before a deadline.”
Clerra computes every CRA and provincial deadline the moment you add a client, and keeps them current — rolling weekends and statutory holidays forward automatically. Your firm-wide “what's due” list is always accurate, sorted by urgency, so nothing sneaks up on you.
“Clients take forever to send their documents.”
Send a document checklist to the client portal; clients upload securely from any device and see exactly what's still outstanding. Reminders and status are built in, so you stop being the follow-up service.
“Every month we rebuild the same work from scratch.”
Set up monthly closes, quarterly GST/HST and annual returns once as job templates. Clerra spawns them on schedule with every step ready to check off — through review to filed — and carries the assignee forward.
“Growing the firm just means paying more per seat.”
Clerra is one flat price for your whole firm — unlimited staff and clients, never per seat. Add people and clients freely; the price doesn't punish you for it. When clients pay invoices online, you keep 100%.
“I can't see where the firm actually stands.”
The command center shows overdue, due today, approvals waiting, unbilled time and upcoming deadlines on one screen — for you and every staff member — with real-time reports on the firm's health.
“Our clients' data has to stay in Canada.”
It does. Clerra is built and hosted in Canada, with data in Canadian data centres, encryption in transit and at rest, row-level isolation between firms, and 7-year document retention handled for you.
Serious about security — because you have to be.
You hold a whole book of client records. Clerra is built to protect it.

Questions, answered
What is Clerra?+
Clerra is practice-management software for Canadian accounting and bookkeeping firms. It computes every CRA filing deadline automatically, runs recurring work like monthly closes and GST/HST, and gives each client a secure portal for documents — all for one flat price per firm, never per seat.
Is Clerra Canadian, and where is my data stored?+
Yes — Clerra is built in Canada by Common Good Labs Inc. in St. Marys, Ontario, and all your data is stored in Canadian data centres (AWS Canada Central, Montréal), with row-level isolation between firms and between a firm and its clients. Canadian data residency is built in, not an add-on.
Does Clerra replace my accounting or tax software?+
No — and it never tries to. Clerra runs the work around QuickBooks, Xero, TaxCycle, ProFile or CCH. It's the practice-management layer that keeps the whole firm on track.
How does flat-rate pricing work?+
One price per firm, every feature included, unlimited staff and clients. The Small firm plan is $149/month (up to 7 team members) and the Standard firm plan is $299/month (up to 15). Adding people never costs more, so growing your team never raises your bill.
Which Canadian filings does the deadline engine handle?+
Enter a client's entity type, year end, GST/HST frequency and payroll setup and Clerra builds their full filing calendar — T1, T2, T3, GST/HST, payroll remittances, T4/T5, instalments and provincial filings — rolling weekend deadlines forward and staying current as the profile changes.
How long does it take to get started?+
Most firms are productive the same afternoon: add your clients with a few compliance details, and the filing calendar is simply there.
See it on your own firm.
Add your clients and the whole system comes to life in an afternoon.
